Ba'al i; Turtle Dove is an optional enemy in Bravely Default, and an aerial boss in Bravely Second: End Layer. It appears as a Nemesis in Norende Village, and as a Demon King in Magnolia's hometown, the Fort-Lune.


[edit] Appearance

Turtle Dove appears as a huge mostly-gold, skeletal bird with large wings decorated with red, yellow and blue feathers, and multi-colored beads. It has huge, bulging eyes, lines of black beads on its beak, and dons a silver tiara with a flowing veil and several white ribbons. On its breast is a heart-shaped collection of ribbons and candies, and colorful chains intertwine on its feet.

[edit] Battle

Turtle Dove usually starts off with either Fall in Love or Love Triangle to inflict the status ailment love to one or two characters. Then, its attacks with revolve around Rake, Seraph Blast and Sweet Dreams. Once its HP goes on or below 50%, it will start using Little Gift to give itself three additional BP, and use Rake, Seraph Blast next and Sweet Dreams afterwards in that exact order.

Fall in Love Has a 100% chance to cause the status ailment love in one target.
Love Triangle Has a 100% chance to cause the status ailment love in two targets.
Rake Deal physical damage to one target.
Seraph Blast Unleash a magic attack to one target.
Sweet Dreams Unleash a powerful physical attack to one target. Also has a chance to cause the status ailment sleep.
Little Gift Gain 3 BP.
Heartbreak Deal a tremendous amount of dark damage to all enemies who are in the love state, and release them from that state afterwards.
